Student data, for schools
What My Class stores about students, where it is kept, and for how long.
This guide is for the person at a school who checks how student data is handled.
What is stored
- My Class holds a teacher's own lists: names, roll numbers, groups and tags only. There is no contact, photo or parent data.
- Students never have accounts. They use the board and the vote page with the teacher's code.
- Records stay in the region the teacher chose: the United States, Europe (Germany) or Singapore.
How long
- Records are deleted 18 months after the teacher's last visit, with an email 30 days before.
- A teacher can export or delete everything at any time from the account page.
- Poll votes are kept as counts for 24 hours.
