How to make a handwriting sheet

  1. Type the words or sentences, one on each line: a few letters for KG, short words for Grade 1, a sentence for Grade 2.
  2. Pick the level and the letters: Print gives lines to trace and lines to write on, Dotted gives every line to trace.
  3. Press Build sheet, then Print or Download PDF on A4 or Letter.

Questions teachers ask

What size are the lines?

KG and Grade 1 lines are 15 mm tall with a 5 mm middle band for the small letters; Grade 2 lines are 12 mm with a 4 mm band. The letters are sized to fill the middle band.

Can I use Hindi or Arabic words?

Yes. Tracing fonts cover Latin letters only, so a Hindi or Arabic sheet uses an outline of the print letters to trace, and the sheet says so. Arabic runs right to left.

Can I make a cursive sheet?

Yes. Use the cursive writing generator: it has five handwriting models, from the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Vietnam and Indonesia.
