How to make a hangman sheet
- Type your words, one per line or with commas. Short phrases work too.
- Choose 2 or 4 words on a page.
- Press Build sheet, then print the puzzles and the answer key.
Questions teachers ask
How do students play with the sheet?
In pairs or as a class: one person knows the word and the others guess one letter at a time, crossing it out in the alphabet. A right letter goes on each of its blanks; a wrong one adds a line to the drawing.
Does it work with Hindi or Arabic words?
Yes. Each word gets the alphabet of its own script: A to Z, the Hindi letters or the Arabic letters. A Hindi conjunct or a letter with its marks is one blank, and Arabic words run from the right.
How many words fit on a sheet?
Up to 40 words, 2 or 4 on each page, with up to 16 letters in each word or phrase. The answer key lists every word after the puzzles.
