How to make a word search for your class
- Type one word per line, or put commas between them. 8 to 15 words fit a 15 by 15 grid.
- Choose the directions and press Build puzzle. Words that cannot be placed are listed above the preview; shorten or replace them.
- Choose A4 or Letter and print 2 pages: the puzzle and the answer key.

Can students solve it on screen?

Does it work in Hindi or Arabic?
Words in any script work. The other letters in the grid come from the same script, and right-to-left words read from the right.
Is my word list saved?
Yes. Your word list is saved to your items and opens on any device you sign in on. Print or download the puzzle to keep it.
What does Backwards do?
Words can also run from their last letter to their first, which makes the puzzle harder. Leave it off for younger classes.
