Phone remote

The phone remote lets you run the board from your phone while you walk round the room. It is part of Teacher Plus.

Pair your phone

1. On the board, choose Phone remote in the top bar. A QR code shows.
2. Scan it with your phone camera. Sign in on the phone with the account the board uses, if you have not already.
3. The phone shows two digits. Check that the board shows the same two digits and choose Accept.

What the phone controls

• Timer and Visual timer: Start or Pause, +1 min and +5 min.
• Random name: Pick a name. The name shows on the board, never on the phone.
• Traffic light: Red, Amber or Green.
• Work symbols: the symbol on show.
• Show on board brings a widget to the front. With a deck open, Previous screen and Next screen move through it.

Good to know

• One phone at a time. Revoke on the board sends the phone away and shows a new QR code.
• The remote works for one lesson, up to 4 hours. A phone that loses its connection comes back by itself within 10 minutes; after that, scan the new QR code.
• The phone gets the names of the widgets and the timer, light and symbol on show, never the names on your lists or the text on your screen.
