Remote voting on phones

Students vote from their phones with a 4-letter poll code, and never sign in or give their name.

Turn on remote voting

  1. Add a Poll and write the question and the answers.
  2. In the settings, turn on Remote voting.
  3. The join screen shows the poll code and a QR code. Students go to tools.openeducat.org/join.

What students see

  • One question at a time, with large answer buttons.
  • "Vote counted, thanks" after they vote. One phone votes once per question.

Good to know

  • Press Shift+J to show or hide the join screen.
  • The poll code has 4 letters, never digits, so it is never mistaken for a sign-in code.
