Anagram maker

Type one word, then print a sheet that asks how many words it makes.

Make an anagram sheet

  1. Open the anagram maker from All tools and sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code we email you.
  2. Type one word of 3 to 15 letters in Word, such as listen.
  3. Pick the shortest word that counts: 3 or 4 letters.
  4. Press Build sheet, then choose A4 or Letter and press Print or Download PDF. The answer key comes after the sheet.

The sheet and the key

  • The sheet asks how many words students can make, shows the letters as tiles and gives lines to write on.
  • The key lists every word of a common English word list that the letters make, longest first. The word itself is left out.
  • Press Shuffle letters to change the order of the tiles; the key stays the same.

Good to know

  • The word list is English. A word in another language prints with its tiles and lines, and the key says that no words were found.
  • Your settings stay on this device until you sign out.
