Math worksheet generator

Tick the operations, set the numbers, then print a worksheet and its answer key.

Make a worksheet

  1. Open the math worksheet generator from All tools and sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code we email you.
  2. Tick one or more operations: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions or times tables.
  3. Set Numbers from and Numbers to: 1 to 20 for Grade 1, 10 to 99 for Grade 2 and 3, 100 to 999 from Grade 4. Pick a times table, how many problems and 2 or 3 columns.
  4. Press Build sheet, then choose A4 or Letter and press Print or Download PDF: the problems come first and the answer key after them.

Regrouping

  • With Regrouping on, a sum may carry and a difference may borrow.
  • With it off, no column of a sum reaches 10 and no column of a difference borrows. A product carries in no column either; when every number in your range carries even times 2, it is multiplied by 1. If no two numbers in your range add without carrying, the page says so: widen the range or turn Regrouping on.

Good to know

  • Answers are never negative, and every division comes out whole.
  • Fractions are stacked with a horizontal bar, and their answers are in lowest terms.
  • A times table gives table × 1 to table × 12, written both ways round.
  • Tick two or more operations and the problems take turns; the title names them all.
  • Press New numbers for a second version of the same sheet. Your settings stay on this device until you sign out.
