Flashcard maker

Type fronts and backs, then print flashcards or flip through them on screen.

Make flashcards

  1. Open the flashcard maker from All tools and sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code we email you.
  2. Give the set a title, then type one card per line: the front, a comma, then the back.
  3. Choose 4, 6 or 8 cards on a page, then press Make cards. You can make up to 100 cards.
  4. Choose A4 or Letter, then press Print or Download PDF.

Print on both sides

  • Leave Print on both sides on. Each page of fronts is followed by its backs, with the columns mirrored.
  • In the print dialog, choose two-sided and flip on the long edge, then cut on the dashed lines.
  • Without two-sided printing, turn Print on both sides off. Each front sits beside its back. Fold the page on the long line down the middle, then cut on the dashed lines.

Flip on screen

  • Choose Flip on screen above the preview. Cards on screen carry no watermark.
  • Press the card, Space or Enter to flip it. The arrow keys, Previous and Next move between cards.

Good to know

  • Text too long for a card ends in three dots: shorten it, or choose fewer cards on a page.
  • Each side can use its own script, so a card can have English on the front and Hindi on the back.
  • Your list is saved to your items and opens on every device you sign in on. Print or download the cards to keep them.
